About Rogue Fleet
Rogue Fleet is a game that was created for the HND Graded Unit at City of Glasgow College, the game was required to fit the theme of 'The Four Elements'.

Rogue Fleet is a top-down shooter set in the expanse of space, filled to the brim with asteroids, aliens, enemy spacecraft, and many other detritus and debris - use it to your advantage! Mine, destroy, and defeat enemies to gain scrap and upgrade your ship!

Unlock devastating abilities by leveling up, with each of the 4 ships pertaining to a different element, and having unique abilities, suiting many playstyles! Defeat any bosses that get in your way, and eliminate the Rogue Fleets...

Rogue Fleet was created solely by me using the Unity Game Engine, coded in C# with Visual Studio. All sprites and 3D models were created by me using Aseprite and Blockbench,

Rogue Fleet was made in a few months as part of a HND Graded Unit, as such I learned the following skills:
- Enemy Design: 36+ Enemies built & planned from a self-created template
- Player Archetypes: Creating 4 unique ships for a wide array of players.
- Balancing & Scaling: Balancing of XP from enemies, levelling up formulas, and enemy HP
- Upgrade Prices: Prices of scrap and credit cost for upgrades
- Boss Fight Gamestates: Managing the player from gameplay into a boss fight
- UI Design & Coding: Creating menus, the enemy codex, upgrade screen & grids / lists
- Camera Behaviour & States: Camera animations upon menu clicks & on boss spawn
- Particle Effects: Extensive practice with different effects like flame, ice, energy, etc
- Player Abilities: Unique player abilities activated by button or passively
- Audio Mix & Sliders: Separate audio mixers and sliders for music and SFX
- Movement Scripting: Space-like movement for player, enemies & homing rockets

Rogue Fleet was the big game idea I went into college with and aspired to create from the start - I am overall proud to have created Rogue Fleet within the time constraints of a HND module, for which it received the highest possible mark.
