About Me.
I am a Game Developer currently studying my final year at University for Game Design, over my 4 years of study I have created a wide array of projects, building up my experience in a variety of software, systems, and communities through summer projects, passions pieces, game jams, and graded submissions.

Since the very beginning of my Game Development journey I was determined to put my all into my games, with every project to be an improvement from the last and to be more than just a 'pass' in terms of College submissions, I wanted to truly feel like I improved with each project and learned from my shortcomings.
I pride myself on creating every asset within my games, and as such, in my journey through Game Development I aspire to become proficient in many unique disciplines - being able to create fully actualized games, all by my self and either be of great use as a generalist on a team of developers, or a truly self-sufficient solo developer!

I find that creating EVERYTHING within a game by myself is a great motivation to continue improving, a great way to learn, and allows me to take great pride in the projects I build - It also gives me the knowledge and experience I need to know in order to provide help to my peers over a great range of game development issues.
Skills
C# Programming in Unity
Since 2022, I have been programming games in C# with the Unity Game Engine - creating projects for College and University, as well as experimenting with my own ideas in free time; I constantly improve my skills and & upload games to my Itch.io page for others to play and give feedback on.

Check out the Projects page to see an in-depth analysis of the skills I have developed on some of my best games!

Pixel Art
Pixel Art has always been a great passion of mine, being a main inspiration for getting into game development - Originally a skill I developed on my own, creating texture packs and mods for games; College allowed me to flourish, and hone my skill by creating assets for my game projects, and I fell in love with learning to draw every little thing ever since.

For my HNC Graded Unit at college, in which we were to pitch a game idea and create it from scratch in a group of four, I was the Lead Artist. In this role I had to create most of the sprites, as well as manage and provide support to my other team members, who were required to make a small amount of the artwork in the game also. You can see this game here!

I have created thousands of Pixel Art pieces over the last 6 years, take a look at any of my Projects here to see some examples, view the Artwork page for a few of my best piece, or check out my Itch.io to see the artwork in action yourself!

Game Design
Game Design became a focus later into College and especially upon entering University, allowing me to practice and learn both by myself, and with support from lecturers. I have worked with a team to create a game project from a short brief, in which I took on the role of a designer; mainly working on systems design, balancing, and assisting on level designs and game flow with other designers, check out the game here!

I have also recently created a simple game purely with the intent of understanding and implementing proper on-boarding to players, how to properly construct and test puzzle game levels, and the techniques and flow required to create a wholly complex puzzle game that isn't just unfair, you can see game that, here.

Throughout my game development experience I have used a couple of simple note taking and information storing software, such as the two below, to plan and design many different aspects of my games like: creating GDDs, enemy balancing, player scaling, xp & difficulty scaling, weapon stats tweaking, etc...

Music & Sound Design
Throughout my Game Development experience, I have had a lot of experience with creating my own sound effects for games, typically 8-bit sounds made with BFXR or SFXR.

Within recent years I have also created a few simple short music tracks for use in an upcoming game, as well as just to further my skills in general game creation. A few example tracks can be heard Music page!

3D Voxel Modelling & Animation
For a few projects and assets within College, I created 3D models of many assets including furtniture, weapons, and enemies all within a software called Blockbench - which allows creation, texturing and animating of simple, cube-like models.

Although I primarily focus on 2D games and assets, especially within recent years, I have had a good amount of experience in this software prior to and during College, as it is what I used to create models, textures, and animations for certain in-game mods as well as my very first 3D first person shooter game.
